Bee Better and THANK YOU!
We are honored by all the support for our new nonprofit, Bee Better, has received.
Many thanks to everyone who helped in any way they could. YOU can help too by learning to build a Bee Better garden.
Several Facebook friends donated, as well as other friends providing in-kind services. We cannot thank you enough.
Bee Better also has our first sponsor! Bee Better received a promise for a monthly donation based on 10% of Glass Gardens NW Bee Preserver sales. This is huge for a startup like Bee Better. We will make sure Bee Better stays true to our mission, and we hope others will have similar confidence in us. If you would like to become a corporate sponsor, please send us a note.
#BeeBetter…Building Better Backyards for Birds, Bees, and Butterflies. @BeeBetter
Our role in the community is to educate homeowners about building a better backyard for our birds, bees, and butterflies. We have big ideas about teaching the little things you can do to begin today.
Each day, our site will give you a tip on what you can do to Bee Better.
We also plan to host an annual bird, bee, and butterfly/pollinator garden tour. Stay tuned!
Starting in September, we will be hosting a four-week workshop (one day each week, plus a tour of a renowned habitat) on creating an urban wildlife habitat, held at the JC Raulston Arboretum.
If your organization is looking for a speaker, Helen Yoest, environmental engineer, and recipient of the City of Raleigh Sustainability Award, will be available to talk about Bee Better, and what your audience can do to begin today. The honorarium will be donated to Bee Better, Inc., a 501(c)(3) foundation.
